I’ve been working a lot on SCAR Divi 3.25 lately and I just wanted to update you guys on the progress I’m making.
Todo list:
– Delphi 2010 port [95%]
– New tab system (includes editor, search, goto line, etc…) [80%]
– Includes manager [95%]
– New options dialog [100%]
– Print dialog [100%]
– Breakpoints [0%]
– Settingsmanager [75%]
– New function list parser [100%]
– Selected client manager [100%]
– New script engine front-end [25%]
– Windows Vista/7 compatibility [50%]
– New plugin handler [0%]
– Commandline processor [75%]
– …
So those are the things I can think of from the top of my head, there’s a lot more changes to go around, basically almost the entire front-end is being rewritten to increase stability and flexibility. Part of the upgrades to the program are powered by code from SCAR Luna and they are guaranteed to provide a reliable program to work with until SCAR Luna is completed. Most of the things that are almost finished just need some final work done but are mostly completely, mainly based on dependencies on other things that aren’t finished yet.
As I announced previously, Caderno will be receiving a large revamping. Caderno 3 will feature a lot of new stuff and work more efficiently than previous versions. Here’s a little preview of what it might look like:

Notice the added toolbars which will also be able to be hidden.
Hey all,
I’ve been rather silent lately, this is because I’m quite busy with my studies, however, I’m currently working on SCAR Luna 3.50 and making some nice progress, hopefully it won’t be long before you will see the results.
Caderno 2.10 will be released without the announced SmartUpdate program to automatically update Caderno. Due to the complexity of the Windows security protocols, it’s taking somewhat longer to finish the updater. However, Caderno 2.10 contains a lot of bugfixes and improvements and shouldn’t be hold back because of the updater, so as soon as it’s finished it will be released. The updater will be added in one of the following versions.
I’m currently spending my spare time on an exciting new project, Powersplit as it’s named will be a tool to split files into multiple smaller ones, like the popular tool HJSplit. However, aside from being 100% compatible with HJSplit, PowerSplit will also offer new possibilities like MD5 checksums, it’s own split file format with internal checksum, partscount, compression, etc… To complete the package, PowerSplit will also come with shell extensions and file association. This means you’ll be able to simply double click a split file to make it whole again and you’ll get a nice rightclick menu in explorer to start file splitting, calculate checksums and more… The program also incorporates new api’s from Windows 7 to take advantage of some nifty new features in the os, like the advanced taskbar.

I’ve decided to cancel the development of my Rapidshare Downloader project. Basically it was to be a download manager for Rapidshare Premium that allowed you to safely share accounts, schedule downloads, remotely control it, automatically unpack archives after a download, etc… However, I’ve finally found that a great freeware program that does this and more (except for the account sharing maybe) is already out there! Check out JDownloader
Caderno 2.10 is getting closer to being published, currently I’m still testing it for bugs, but it seems to be stable. A few really annoying bugs were fixed, aside from that it now supports UTF-16 along with UTF-8 and Ansi. Also new is the smart updater, this will (for now) only be available in the non-portable version though. More additions may still follow, for now this is the most important stuff.
As part of the original design plans for Caderno, I’m slowly working on an updater program which will be able to update Caderno so you won’t require to redownload it. It’ll be called “Freddy1990.com SmartUpdate”, the program will later on also be implemented to update other programs like SCAR Luna 3.50 and SCAR Phoenix 4.00. It will be included with the next version of Caderno, however, it’s not quite finished yet.

I’ve “left the scenes” for a while, because of college… I’m only semi-active at the moment because I simply don’t have much time to spare. However, I am still developing, just at a rather slow rate. My current main project is Luna, when I have a spare moment I try to add a bit to it, and I must say I’m really satisfied with what I’ve accomplished so far. The program works way way more efficient than the current versions of SCAR. I’m hoping I can release a pre-release version soon, but until then I’ll try to keep you guys up to date.
I’ve been thinking and… Well, I came to the conclusion that I’m just 1 man… All of the projects I’m working on are simply too much for 1 guy to handle… So I’ve decided to cut down on them and drop a few.
